Summer Courses
The American Red Cross has created a free summer seminar camp for children ages 8-12. From June to September, kids can enter into an exciting and educational 1 hour session that covers all the basics of living a safe lifestyle.
Using a combination of PowerPoint and hands-on experience, teachers will impart important lessons on students, including:
Recognizing an Emergency - What is an emergency? - When to call 911 - Check/Call/Care - Emergency Scenario - 911 Practice Call
Basic First Aid (Bandaging//Bleeding) - Bleeding/Bandaging - Campers practice bandaging each other
Disease Prevention - Practice proper hand washing techniques with Glitterbug ultraviolet machine, soap, and water.
