About the show

The creative team who brought you the PA Premiere of WILLY WONKA, TITANIC, SEUSSICAL and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will once again deliver a mesmerizing production with elaborate sets, unmatched special effects, extraordinary choreography and costuming. This production is PETER PAN like no one has seen it before," said director Rene Staub. "The musical will include elements of realism in every aspect of the show from the intense flying effects down to the details in costuming," Staub added. The musical is filled with feisty pirates, mysterious mermaids, and magical fairies, a formula sure to be a huge hit with recent popular films featuring these adventurous characters. ZFX returns this year to supply the special rigging for flying cast members. The company is responsible for the flying effects in Cathy Rigby's PETER PAN and Broadway's WICKED. AOK will also be using swords and the hook used in Rigby's production.

PETER PAN will transport your entire family into J.M. Barrie's beloved tale of a magical, mischievous boy who refuses to grow up, taking the audience to a timeless land of adventure. Peter Pan, portrayed by Ross Griffin, spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland as leader of his gang, the Lost Boys. He periodically flies to England to listen to bedtime stories outside of the Darling's Nursery window. Peter mistakenly gets discovered by Wendy Darling, played by Tiana Himmel, and teaches the Darling children how to fly. Wendy and her brothers, Michael and John; played by Luke Panzer and Nate Bahn, are invited to follow him to Neverland. Peter ultimately defeats his foe, Captain Hook; played by Rene Staub, and makes friends with the Indian princess, Tiger Lily, portrayed by Erica Wallen. This state-of-the-art musical extravaganza will bring out the child in everyone with hilarious comedy and show stopping numbers for a family event long to be cherished. This richly scored musical soars with such favorites as ” Neverland", "I Won't Grow Up", "I'm Flying" and more! Look for the spectacular Ugh –A-Wug number with extraordinary percussion and dance reminiscent of the Broadway sensation, STOMP. Boys and girls of all ages will be thrilled to meet the cast of pirates, Indians and fairies, including Tinkerbell, after the show!
