An Intern's Testimonial
Hi, my name's Jon Hagedorn and I'm Interning at the York County Chapter of the American Red Cross. I've been hard at work during 2008 in a number of departments here at the Red Cross, including Marketing and Youth Services, to expand my repertoire of skills and make an impact on the surrounding community to the best of my ability. My roles have been various and I've found completing my jobs to be both educational and enjoyable. I'll have finished my time here in only a few weeks, but parts of this very website will continue to bear my mark as I've been tasked with both creating and updating content for a number of important pages. I've been to elementary schools and taught children how to stay safe while still having fun. I've designed fliers, brochures, spreadsheets, essential documents, and a wealth of other works. I've spoken to hundreds of local businesses. But most importantly, I've gained skills under the banner of the American Red Cross that will help to propel me far in the professional world. I hope you too will seize the opportunity and join the Red Cross in their fight for safety, unity, and comfort for all.
Interested candidates should e-mail kauffmanch@usa.redcross.org or fax their resume and cover letter to 717-852-0104. Don't forget to specify which Intern "track" interests you. We look forward to hearing from you.
