Community Programs

Community Fairs
Invite your local Red Cross to your community or health fair. We would be happy to set up a booth to help educate area residents about disaster preparedness. To request our attendance, please call the Roberta Kupel at 771-3562 .

Community Presentations
Want to learn more about the Red Cross in your community? Schedule a speaker to come to your group, workplace or meeting.

The York-Adams Chapter American Red Cross offers free disaster preparedness presentations to organizations and businesses. Please contact Roberta Kupel at 771-3562 if you are interested in scheduling these presentations:

Preparing for the Unexpected: 0.5-hour presentation outlining what supplies need to be included in a family disaster supply kit, how to create your own family disaster plan and meeting places.

Pandemic Flu: 1.5-hour program that explores disaster preparedness and how to defend against a pandemic flu outbreak. Symptoms, proper care, hygiene and outbreak history are just a few of the vital points covered in this comprehensive presentation.

Senior Safety: 0.5-hour program outlining steps seniors should take to ensure their well being in their homes.

Customized Speeches: Ask to hear about a current Red Cross project or learn about a specific Red Cross program.

Are you interested in becoming part of our speaker’s bureau? Please contact Roberta Kupel at 771-3562 to learn about this great volunteer opportunity!
