1st Prize: Handmade Amish Quilt Lone Star Pattern - $900 value

The Lone Star pattern is one of the oldest and most recognizable quilt patterns made by the Amish. This striking off-white king size quilt measures 112” x 115.” The large, beautiful lone star in the center features dramatic colors of forest green, lilac and lavender. Washable and reversible, the quilt is edged with dotted forest green fabric that also surrounds a flowery fabric border of small bouquets of purple roses. There are approximately 7 to 9 hand-quilted stitches per inch. The pillow cover section features a bird and tulip hand-stitched appliqué. On the reverse, an appliquéd heart denotes the maker’s initials and date. This scallop-edged handmade Amish quilt from the heart of Lancaster County is a $900.00 value.
